The Opportunity
Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing, L.P. is seeking a skilled individual for our EH&S Technician position at our DTTP - Waller, TX location. The EH&S Technician supports the EH&S Manager to assist in implementation of common EH&S programs as well as policy or processes. Performs daily audits of work areas and team member compliance. Administers designated employee training programs. Manages daily support activities within a location. Duties could include regulatory fieldwork, data collection, compliance auditing, training, and emergency response. Completes day-to-day EH&S production floor responsibilities. Daikin Texas Technology Park- has a footprint of 4.23 million square feet under a single roof, and is the third largest factory in the United States. Opened in 2017 as the manufacturing, logistics, and engineering center for Daikin's American subsidiary Goodman, the plant makes heating and air conditioning products sold under the Goodman,Amana, and Daikin brands.

Qualifications
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of Health & Safety fundamentals and best practices and OSHA
- Knowledge of manufacturing work environments
- Proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and data entry applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; safety acumen and interpersonal skills
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail, accuracy and effective problem solving skills
- Ability to establish positive work relationships and ability to engage with employees to educate and comply with safety policies/procedures
- Ability to apply strong work ethics and integrity on the job
Experience:
- 1 3 years of experience or working knowledge of EH&S fundamentals is a plus, especially in a high volume manufacturing environment
Education:
- High School diploma or GED
- OSHA 10-hour General Industry through In-house training and Certification
