Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

Aclara Technologies, a leading technology company in the utility sector is looking for top-notch Software Engineers for its award-winning ProField Solution. ProField is a mobile workforce management platform and is being licensed to large enterprises in the USA and in other parts of the world. It is also being used to support Smart Grid meter replacement projects in a variety of geographies. Our technology stack includes Microsoft .NET technologies, SQL Server database, WCF Services, Web Services, Cloud based Platform services, Cloud Data storage, Web APIs, scalable systems, web security among other experience. Selected individuals will have exceptional ability for abstract thinking, understanding complex problems and translating them to intelligently simple programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work with other engineers, managers, product management team, QA, and Operations teams to develop innovative web and mobile based solutions that meet market needs.
Must be flexible of handling both development and work on operational functionalities.
Write unit test code, maintain code quality and produce defect free software.
Prepare functional and design specification documents
Work closely with QA and Product Management to resolve product issues in all parts of our software applications.
Support our customers by proactively resolving reported issues.
Handle multiple projects and work priorities to meet the delivery cycle.

Skills and Experience

2-4 years of experience in [Register to View] [Register to View] SQL Server and other Microsoft Web Technologies
Familiarity in Microsoft SQL server Programming like Triggers, Stored Procedures is an added advantage.
Must have strong understanding of object-oriented design and programming concepts
Familiarity in various design and architectural patterns
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
