The Opportunity

Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc., is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Manager, AER Team position for our Sales Operations group located at our Phoenix, AZ location. The AER team manager oversees the DCBU COD AER team whose mission is to assist the sales organization with growth of commercial, multi-family, RNC, and select large custom home projects by working closely with the COD sales organization and the HVAC contractor customers that participate in these segments. These projects range in size from $15k to $500k+. The AER team manager is responsible for the training and development of the individual members of the team and ensuring they are current with necessary information related to both technical and processes. Qualifications

Nature & Scope:

  • Ensures work is aligned with the Directors expectations, goals, and vision
  • Accountable for implementation of policies, processes, and procedures for short-term results
  • Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from Senior Manager/Director
  • Works on difficult to moderately complex issues and projects
  • Provides guidance and training to subordinates
  • Has authority to hire, recommend pay, establish performance and recommend for termination
  • Level of signing authority established by company policy/guidelines

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple people
  • Strong Project management skills
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships throughout organization
  • Familiar with business processes and procedures, business applications and workflow
  • Working knowledge of project management best practices,
  • Excellent leadership skills ability to develop, delegate, engage, mentor and performance management
  • High knowledge of MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with project team, business partners, and vendors
  • High levels of multi-tasking are required and quick adaptability to change
  • Project Focus: Understands, anticipates, and meets business and project needs
  • Consistently deliver on commitments, take initiative, has a bias towards action, take responsibility, show individual accountability, has a sense of urgency, make timely decisions
  • Ability to manage through influence / leverage partnerships
  • Effective verbal and written communication; professional business acumen, ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical
  • Must have good analytical, attention to detail, issue resolution, and relationship-building skills

Experience:

  • 10+ years sales experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree (or equivalent, relevant industry experience)

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Employees visiting customer sites would be subject to use of Personal Protective Equipment (i.e., safety glasses, etc.)
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Ability to lift 20 Lbs. on an infrequent basis. Lifting may not exceed that of a laptop and accessories.
