Position Summary

The Pricing Manager develops pricing strategies, identifies target markets, tracks and reports markets trends, and fully understands the impact of pricing on profit margins. The manager conducts a variety of analyses to develop effective pricing strategies and market evaluations in order to recommend market level pricing. Through the analysis of FOB’s, PTR’s, PTC’s and other external information, the manager critically analyzes both frontline and promoted pricing, ensures guidelines are in place, followed, and reports the results to management. The Pricing Manager takes the lead on being a change agent, developing new methodologies and processes. This position works closely with Sales, Finance and Marketing.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and support pricing strategies.

  • Monitor impact of pricing initiatives, strategies, annual and promoted price actions.

  • Lead the Annual Price Increase (GI) process, overseeing all aspects from analyzing & recommending price increases, collaborating with sales, getting buy in for increases from Sr Leadership and monitoring implementation

  • Provide monthly reporting on industry and competitive pricing trends, using internal and syndicated data. Using a fact-based approach, identify issues and opportunities, and communicate them in a clear, concise fashion.

  • Support the Revenue Council in the development of the annual price and promotional plan.

  • Provide advanced level of pricing and margin analysis.

  • Evaluate competitive pricing and its impact on our brands

  • Participate in price training, development opportunities, and activities related to the Revenue Management function.

  • Frequent interaction with team members, senior management, cross functional teams and other departments. Involves exchange of complex information and strong influencing skills.

  • Requires ability to coordinate resources and provide guidance to others as necessary.

Reporting Relationship
  • Reports directly to the Sr Director of Revenue Management for Wine & Spirits. The role has two direct reports

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, or related field; MBA a plus

  • 7+ years of work experience in relevant position(s), Alcohol Beverage or CPG Industry experience preferred; people management experience a plus

  • Strong data analysis capabilities required, including Advanced Excel skills (knowledge of data formatting, filters, pivot tables, macros, advanced formulas, etc.).

  • Significant experience/knowledge with data mining and econometric modeling

  • Extensive knowledge/experience with syndicated market data (Nielsen, IRI, PTA)

  • Strong analytical, decision making, and interpersonal skills

  • Highly motivated, results oriented individual who excels in dynamic environment.

  • Tactfulness and good mediation skills needed for work with cross functional team

  • Fluency in SAP/BPC/ S4Hana

  • Strong results orientation with ability to consistently meet commitments and deadlines for him/herself and those of his/her team. High levels of energy and resiliency.

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities and make ongoing decisions. Proven ability to break down complex problems into manageable goals.

  • Excellent time management, project planning, and organizational skills.

  • High level of integrity and professional judgement, with the ability to effectively manage highly sensitive, confidential information.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including sharing ideas and information across diverse audiences, and producing high-quality deliverables to drive business decisions.

  • Must be able to travel by plane or train for long distance.

  • Must be able to work in a professional corporate office environment.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear.

  • Must have close vision, distant vision, ability to adjust focus, peripheral and color vision.

  • Must be able sit and/or stand for long periods of time, and work on a computer for extended periods.

The salary range for this role is $103,100.00 to $161,300.00 . This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
