Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing, L.P. is seeking a skilled individual for our Production Engineer 1 position at our DTTP - Waller, TX location. The Production Engineer is responsible for the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, fabrication and assembly, cost reduction initiatives, processing of engineering changes, and introduction of new products. Also provides guidance and mentoring to technicians and operations support staff. Executes capital projects and significant activities requiring a multi-functional team. About DTTP
Daikin Texas Technology Park- has a footprint of 4.23 million square feet under a single roof, and is the third largest factory in the United States. Opened in 2017 as the manufacturing, logistics, and engineering center for Daikin's American subsidiary Goodman, the plant makes heating and air conditioning products sold under the Goodman,Amana, and Daikin brands.

Knowledge & Skills:
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing either via a cooperative education experience, internship & prior work experience in a manufacturing environment
- Lean manufacturing: Kaizan, value stream mapping, Kanban, demand flow technology, time studies
- Knowledge in fabrication, stamping, tooling, molding, finishing, assembly and/or controls is preferred
- Knowledge of specifications and standards used in the HVAC industry is preferred
- Knowledge with engineering change processes-preferred
- Software skills including MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD
- Line balancing and time studies experience
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills including interpersonal and collaboration skills
Experience:
- 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience in product design in an assembly HVAC environment preferred, or the automotive, appliance industry
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electronics or Systems Engineering
