Position Overview

The Lead Buyer will have responsibility to enhance Sourcing / Supply chain flexibility and complexity. This highly cross functional role will proactively partner with Planning, Purchasing, Sourcing, Customer Service, Engineering, NPD, and Suppliers to play a key role in process improvement and value creation. Control the timely delivery of the components and raw materials used for the production of our products in a timely manner. Ensuring that it is in the right quantity, price and quality with the support of support systems and equipment, such as commodity manager, SQE, product engineering, etc. Maintain close and open communication with the different departments with the aim of giving the best service according to the needs of the business and our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage existing material inventory levels, this using SAP parameters or minimums, and maximize business security supplies.
Responsible for the correct parameterization in the system of suppliers, components and purchase orders.

Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality and delivery time.
Manage purchase orders in compliance with contractual or corporate terms and conditions.
Determine the level of urgency with suppliers to ensure supply, making limited use of freight with additional costs for the company.
Track invoices blocked for payment, either by discretion in catindad or price, until their resolution and payment to the supplier.
Negotiate the best lot sizes according to business needs.
Implement consignment, inventory management, etc. programs according to business needs Identify, develop and implement supplier base rationalization to improve operational effectiveness.
Work with Sourcing Managers to develop cost out strategies. Manage productivity, through category strategy.
Support the RFQ Process and drives supplier selection initiatives.
Lead projects and handle sensitive issues.
Support NPI/NPX efforts.
Facilitate meetings between suppliers and engineers in support of existing project objectives.
Design, prepare, compile, and analyze data related to support departmental objective decision making.
Maintenance to HES productivity tracker.
Creating and maintenance of PIR/MM/SL and other SAP parameters.
Manage all aspects of new supplier on-boarding, including but not limited to qualification, assurance of supply, and execution to project timelines/schedules. Vendor Setup CTPAT requirements, and Block or Delete suppliers.
Sourcing lead provides advice to BU Procurement teams and business users on tender/RFQ and process, strategies and leveraging Supply Chain project management.
Skilled negotiator driving supplier initiatives including cost reduction, VMI, JIT, LT reduction and favorable payment terms.
Develop and manage Sourcing Key Performance Indicators
Perform weekly and monthly KPI and Scorecard reports supporting Sourcing and Supply Chain strategies.
Track and report supplier strategies and monitoring spend.
Provide comprehensive data analytics to identify problematic areas and suggest optimization opportunities on project-based assignments supporting Sourcing continuous improvement
Create simple, repeatable processes and methods to gather supply chain data to achieve objectives.
Strong understanding of best practices within Supply Chain.
Support in PBI Development (Charts/Communication)

Skills and Experience

• Professional level: LAE, Commerce, Afin, Supply Chain related
( 5 years)
• English 85% (written and spoken)
• +2 years of experience in similar position
the industrial/manufacturing sector preferably.

Bachelors Degree en Engineering General
