Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc., is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Product Specialist Sales position for our Sales Operations group located at our New Braunfels, TX branch. The Product Specialist will lead their focus area (i.e., light commercial, ductless, E-Premium or VRV products) and serve as the individual to manage and coordinate engagement and accomplishment of the division sales objectives with Company Owned Distribution (COD) & Distributor Channel Partners. The product specialist will be the Division resource for supporting the product line and growing sales. Qualifications

Nature & Scope:

  • Coordinates engagement and accomplishment of division sales objectives with COD & distributor channel partners.
  • Note: The Product Specialist will focus on division sales related to inverter (Daikin, Amana, Goodman brand), light commercial (LC), RAQA (ductless), or VRV as identified by the hiring manager.
  • Cultivates sales competency through training, coaching and support for COD and Independent Distributor TMs

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Prior experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Prior experience in application of the specific product assigned to you
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills including public speaking, presentations, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop effective communication pieces (price pages, sales support documentation, submittals, written memos etc.)
  • High level proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 programs, Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Able to generate and read reports as required
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Competitive industry knowledge
  • Ability to apply strong work ethics and integrity on the job

Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years related experience
  • Prior HVAC; commercial and ductless product HVAC industry experience

Education:

  • Bachelors degree preferred, will accept industry experience in lieu of degree

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Overnight travel, approximately 25-30% per month possibly more as required
