Bottling Maintenance Foreman - Woodbridge Winery
Job Description
Position Summary
The Mechanical Foreman will need to have a broad understanding of mechanical system and equipment function and will be responsible for procedure-based mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, training, and project oversight. The Mechanical Foreman will need to be experienced in diverse technologies such as Tetra Pak, Seaming, Bag in the box, advance packaging forming, carbonation, and have a working knowledge on automation systems and electrical distribution.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary onsite technical resource as part of a team of mechanical infrastructure systems and equipment, with an emphasis on practical/field application.
- Author or approve work procedures (SOP) to cover mechanical troubleshooting, repair, retrofit, and maintenance activities, with an emphasis on assessing & mitigating personnel and system risk
- Conduct or oversee hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical infrastructure systems and equipment
- Lead and/or participate in root cause analysis activities in area of expertise, specifically mechanical infrastructure systems and equipment
- Manage vendor relationships for mechanical system maintenance and retrofit work
- Participate in regular Preventive Maintenance
- Lead and participate as a member in Maintenance Improvement teams
- Welding experience preferred but not required.
- Other related duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- 7 + years relevant mechanical industry experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience interpreting blueprints/CAD drawings
- Significant experience in comprehending mechanical plans, specifications, and equipment shop drawings
- Working knowledge of critical packaging operations with experience or understanding of procedure-based work
- Experience working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Must have excellent computer skills
- Must have good interpersonal skills
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays
- Must be willing to flex shift at times of business need
- Well versed in Excel and Office
- SAP PM module experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP PM and MM experience
- SAP Ariba Experience
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Physical Requirements: The employee frequently is required to sit, talk or listen and drive long distances. The employee is occasionally required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and ladders, and bending are required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Work Environment: Working conditions in certain areas of the winery are cold, wet, slippery and noisy. Involves exposure to hazardous conditions. Irregular shifts, including graveyard, and long hours may be required, particularly during harvest.

Operations and ProductionThe salary range for this role is:
$30.35 - $50.58This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
