JOB PURPOSE

The Global Quality Lead role works for Business group across all geographies.

The Quality lead is responsible to design and drive end to end program for quality, delivering business growth, by ensuring compliance and superior product experience to customers and consumers every time, everyday and everywhere.

The Role is focused on defining, operationalizing, facilitating, and coordinating Quality program from design to consumer use, driving processes to deliver superior products and to eliminate systemic issues end-to-end in the value chain (design to consumption/Use).

The role is accountable for setting the governance for the business group leadership team, managing and reviewing the quality strategy and programs and driving culture change across the BG.

As the Global Quality Lead, you will collaborate with cross functional leadership teams to influence and integrate quality culture and mindset across the business.

You will lead, inspire, and influence the Quality community across the BG and BUs, embedding quality culture and making quality function a talent powerhouse.

The role reports directly to the Chief Quality Officer and Partners BG leaders and is a member of the Global Quality Leadership Team and the BG Supply Chain Leadership Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Builds, deploys, and communicates Home Care Quality strategy, derived from the Global UL Quality Strategy
  • Implement Quality governance (cross-functional quality reviews in BG, BUs, SU yearly, quarterly or monthly) and define KPIs/OKR for BG
  • Drive quality agenda internally and external through partners (collaborative manufacturers as well as suppliers).
  • Provides Quality leadership to improve Quality culture in the BG/BU , across all functions through visibility, deployment of culture of Quality program and coaching across the Category.
  • Lead End-to-end Quality organization. Ensure fit-for-purpose organization and resources are in place. Attract and develop Quality talents, build Quality talent pipeline.
  • Represent Unilever in external forum as appropriate and be responsible for driving culture and creating Unilever employer brand in area of Quality.
  • Ensure Category Quality Standards are up-to-date and fit for purpose (Standards, GMPs) and integrated between Engineering, Technology, Marketing, R&D, Customer Operations.
  • Initiates, leads (as needed) or supports Quality improvement projects using UL Quality Improvement methodologies and available data within the Category and for systemic cross-regional issues (Q Improvement).
  • Supports R&D and Technology experts in development of the Category Specific Technology Standards and specifications ensuring Quality requirements are built in (Technology & Innovation Quality).

Location

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs.  These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
