The Opportunity
Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing, L.P., is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Logistics Engineer position within our Logistics organization located at our DTTP facility. The Logistics Solutions Engineer analyzes the supply chain, transportation, and distribution network and develops recommendations for reducing freight costs, creating material efficiencies, and improving on-time delivery. Establishes, maintains, and communicates statistical data on the tracking of product shipments, returns, and inventory. Supports the business functions of logistics and helps to develop strategy from a data standpoint. Manages individual and department projects that help logistics meet goals of efficiency and service to the customer. About DTTP
Daikin Texas Technology Park- has a footprint of 4.23 million square feet under a single roof, and is the third largest factory in the United States. Opened in 2017 as the manufacturing, logistics, and engineering center for Daikin's American subsidiary Goodman, the plant makes heating and air conditioning products sold under the Goodman, Amana, and Daikin brands.

Qualifications
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of programming languages and applications & database apps and tools
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects, with various teams including engineers and supply chain personnel
- Effective verbal and written communication skills including interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated analytical, quantitative and creative problem solving skills
- Self-directed
- Solid collaboration abilities;professional and diplomatic team builder
- Ability to apply good judgement, decision making skills including strong work ethics & integrity on the job
- Experience:
- 0 2 years preferably within a large volume durable consumer goods industry
Experience:
- Entry Level
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering
