What you'll do...

Director, Project Management - Walmart Internal Creative

Project Management is the internal creative agency engine, linking all functions and managing work flows end-to-end to deliver projects on-time and on-budget. Project Managers work closely with Account Management, Creative, Integrated Production and Photography to daily to ensure that projects are moving seamlessly through the system and that anticipated challenges are addressed early.

The Director, Project Management will be integral to standing up project management as a new discipline within the internal creative agency, establishing ways of working within the group and with marketing partners and external agencies. This role requires strong leadership skills, high influence and the ability to see both the "big picture" and project details.

This role is key in elevating and maintaining the reputation of the internal creative team as the preferred partner to deliver excellent creative that delivers business results. The Director will report to the Head of Creative Account Management & Operations and will be responsible for training and development of a team of Project Managers.

Responsibilities:

- Guide and oversee Project Managers to ensure the team is effectively driving projects and delivering on time and on budget. Establish KPIs and share out results and progress on a regular cadence.

- Partner with creative leadership team to roadshow the discipline and ensure consistent ways of working across teams.

- Partner with Account Management on project intake and ensure that resources are appropriately assigned, and jobs are open in Workfront.

- Oversee detailed project schedules, ensuring Account, Creative and Production are aligned and kept abreast of key milestones, timeline shifts and changes in deliverables.

- Ensure project management team owns Workfront as projects progress through the agency.

- Lead campaign and project status meetings to ensure clarity of weekly milestones, meetings and deliverables.

- Communicate effectively with cross-functional partners and escalate to creative leadership when needed.

- Champion the role of Creative Project Management within the internal agency and the broader marketing organization.

- Implement and ensure compliance to a standardized way of working across teams, assess and pivot as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

- 10+ years of project management experience at an advertising agency or in-house creative agency

- Experience leading high volume of projects ranging from tactical execution to branding and conceptual development

- Experience with Workfront a must

Minimum Qualifications...
