Intern Strategy (Summer 2023)

Location: Remote Duration: Summer 2023 Summary: By coming to The Hershey Company, not only will you have the sweetest internship on earth, but you will have fun and learn more than you thought possible in a three-month time span. As a Strategy & Research Intern, you will be exposed to high-level projects stemming from top management, meaning plenty of exposure for you as you look to make connections and build your career. You will understand the entire business, learn all relevant measures to the industry and contribute to projects across Hershey International through extensive training. In this role, you will work with a dynamic group of people around the world and learn how to collaborate across Canada, Mexico, India, Philippines, UK, Brazil etc. while managing cultural nuances. You will understand the consumer and customer around the world, partner cross-functionally and leverage emerging technologies to elevate your learning. Responsibilities: Assist in developing 1-2 strategic growth initiatives during the internship period. Support required analysis to develop creative strategies across a diverse set of growth levers (Innovation, Pricing, Promotion, distribution, etc.) Support in assessing/tracking the market, category, and competitor dynamics for our core international markets Learn to utilize third party data such as IRI, Panel data and other industry data sources to develop fact-based analysis Support in development of business cases and present to the international leadership teams Liaison with other markets and functional teams for data acquisitions, developing analysis and story creation Networking – Meet & Greets, Leadership Coffee Chat sessions Qualifications: Required: Undergraduate (current junior or senior) GPA above 3.0 Analytical & Critical thinker Enthusiastic about learning business aspects Passion for solving puzzles Be able to multi-task as needed Strong team player Preferred: Pursuing Business/ Finance/ Marketing or related field Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and MS Word Solid analytical and critical thinking skills Strong communication skills
