Job Location: Hershey, PA Must be able to work three 8-hour (9AM – 5PM) shifts per week, including at least one Saturday or Sunday shift. A Research Intercept Interviewer is a part-time position responsible for recruiting survey participants to participate in taste testing research inside Chocolate World and overseeing self-led consumer surveys. The Research Intercept Interviewer must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with the general public and have knowledge of basic computer skills. The key function of this job is to recruit and interview qualified consumers relevant to our research learning objectives across the various Hershey brands/businesses. The Interviewer will oversee the collection of data, deliver observations to product research management, and prepare product samples as needed for taste testing among consumers. Must be able to work three 8-hour shifts per week (9AM – 5PM), which includes at least one Saturday or Sunday shift. The schedule will be set with the manager upon hire (i.e., shifts will always be the same three days of the week and will not change from week to week). Major Duties/Responsibilities: Research Data Collection: • Conduct intercept interviews among Chocolate World visitors with a clear understanding of screening criteria and research objectives. • Collect accurate data to provide actionable learnings to management for relevant Hershey business teams. • Ensure product tests are completed according to field instructions. • Represent Hershey and the legacy of our founder, Milton Hershey, in all visitor interactions. Facility Management • Monitor and ensure sufficient inventory of facility supplies • Track daily survey totals and participant counts • Ensure a sanitary and organized research environment Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required for success: • Self-motivated • Enjoy interacting with new people (experience working with the general public is a plus) • Great interpersonal skills • Effective written and oral communication • Detail-oriented • Strong individual contributor who also works well within a small team environment • Basic computer skills (experience using an iPad or iOS is preferred, but not required) • Time-management and organization skills to manage multiple projects • Ability to work at least one day per weekend • Ability to stand a minimum of 6 hours per shift • Ability to lift up to the maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds and prepare product for testing Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent degree required #LI-JE1
