Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Walmart Global Regulatory Risk Assessment (GRRA) Team partners with the business & Governance teams to identify and evaluate top regulatory risks. The Senior Manager I, Global Regulatory Risk Assessment, role assists with the mitigation of legal and compliance regulatory risks by supporting one or more workstreams of the GRRA team, performs project management duties, and conducts data analysis. The Senior Manager I will actively engage multiple stakeholders at various levels of the organization to identify and discuss root causes of key regulatory risks and propose recommendations to mitigate those root causes.

You'll make an impact by...

  • Understanding the fundamentals of compliance programs - the risk assessment identifies and evaluates top regulatory risk areas, and a thorough assessment process requires a working knowledge of each of those areas
  • Performing project tracking and process management functions - the risk assessment team uses various project management applications, including JIRA, SharePoint, QuickBase, Confluence, and Audit Board
  • Driving the risk assessment calendar to ensure that all necessary tasks occur in a streamlined and efficient fashion
  • Assisting in assembling comprehensive risk assessment reports - the Senior Manager I will assist in editing risk assessment reports for submission to senior leadership
  • Conducting data analysis/organization - the Senior Manager I will review information submitted by stakeholders to help determine possible risk indicators, determine necessary follow-up, and gather other data sources as needed by the team
  • Forging strong partnerships - The risk assessment process involves stakeholders across the business, and an effective and efficiently executed risk assessment requires strong partnerships with all stakeholders

  • You have a deep understanding of metrics and data and the ability to present that information in a digestible format for senior executive leadership
  • You have a strong working knowledge of Project Management tools
  • You have prior Internal Audit, Forensic Accounting, Investigative, or Risk Assessment experience
  • You have great attention to detail
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills and can clearly synthesize and explain complex processes
  • You are familiar with technology and other software frequently used in report development
  • You have enjoyed success working on cross-functional teams within a corporate environment
