The PRT Relationship Management Team is responsible for the direct day-to-day interaction and support of our Pension Risk Transfer clients. The successful candidate will manage a team of Relationship Managers and will be responsible for periodic communication with clients, identifying trending issues and collaborating with other Prudential Centers of Excellence to provide white glove service to our clients. This role is located in Newark, New Jersey or Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leader of people with seven direct reports, with a focus on talent development by offering training, guidance and support to all Relationship Managers
  • Create a supportive, collaborative, and positive team climate
  • Oversee servicing of client base for all PRT products ensuring a consultative and partnership-driven approach with client’s mid-level management to C-Suite executives, third party administrators, actuaries, and auditors
  • Troubleshoot and assist team in providing timely issue resolution
  • Ensure a fast, accurate, and seamless experience for the client
  • Identify, develop and enhance improvements to key processes and workflows
  • Partner with internal business and corporate areas including but not limited to Operations, Accounting, Risk and Compliance to ensure clients’ needs are met
  • Monitors contractual compliance and assists in coordinating distribution of contract amendments, agreements, and trust documents as needed
  • Facilitates periodic client meetings to review contract features, relationship history, roles and responsibilities, and transactional and financial history
  • Leverages business intelligence to identify potential for new business
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as needed


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial services and / or insurance experience required, Defined Benefit or Pension Risk Transfer experience preferred
  • FINRA Series 6, 26 and Life Producer license required, or obtained within 120 days of hire
  • Customer-focused, self-motivated individual who displays passion and commitment to provide exceptional client service
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills including ability to easily engage others in dialogue and build/enhance relationships
  • Ability to work as a team member as well as independently
  • Strong project management skills

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $103,100.00 to $153,500.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
