Responsible for delivering technology products within the full life cycle of people digital experiences across both Talent and Learning, this critical leadership role will partner with the respective People COE leadership and their teams, business segments, UX and Engineering to deliver products that will amaze associates. This role will be most impactful when it fosters and inspires full cross-segment 4itB ways of working (4iTB defines Product, Business, UX and Engineering). As a Technology leader impacting experiences across all segments of the Walmart business, fostering collaboration is at the core of this role. Building and delivering technology products for enterprise scale, whilst designing for business unit adaptation where required will be the way in which success is achieved.

Here, as a Sr. Director of Talent & Learning, Technology you'll be part of a team that enables business outcomes through continuous innovation, optimization, enhancement, and maintenance of People Technology applications.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the team responsible for the development of solutions to enable and enhance the hire-to-retire HR business processes across the talent lifecycle at Walmart using a variety of software programs and applications
  • Establish and leverage relationships with senior business leaders to drive alignment of Core HR technology strategies and roadmaps to deliver significant value and anticipate changing needs
  • Manage initiatives to reduce operating expenses within People Tech and enhance services by overseeing multiple projects from concept to implementation, developing operating and capital budgets and recommend them for approval, reviewing and approving project plans; and collaborating with key business partners to ensure sustainable process changes that support business initiatives
  • Manage divisional and corporate strategic initiatives by directing new and existing People Technology strategies, and serving as a member of multiple senior-level cross-functional steering committees for strategic initiatives
  • Provide overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce
