Job Summary
Responsible for optimizing, digitalizing and further developing supply planning, inventory allocation, procurement planning and related business processes. Acts as the subject matter expert and functional solution architect for all decision support and master data management systems related to Comcast supply planning. Responsible for the overall Comcast supply planning continuous improvement roadmap, scoping, functional specification, justification, and functional design for related projects. Other responsibilities include ensuring optimization of supply and production plans for equipment and related materials across the enterprise and driving key performance indicator improvements around inventory availability. Assists in development of financial and operational objectives. Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives. Contributes to functional strategy development. Core Responsibilities
- Develop the to-be blueprint for how Supply Planning will operate in the Xfinity Mobile business unit with a focus on utilizing o9 solutions. Leverage blue-print process for roll-out of o9 solution to other Comcast planning areas.
- Design the supply planning operating model for the future state to transform into a Demand Driven Supply Network considering best practice procurement planning and store replenishment planning techniques in a highly promoted, short product lifecycle Mobile Retail, and/or Consumer Products environment.
- Provide in-depth knowledge of Supply Chain systems, processes, and tools to focus on effective materials management, planning, forecasting, network optimization, and transportation management.
- Develop short and long-term plan for capacity needs that seek to minimize total costs while maintaining service levels.
- Effectively communicate all project timelines, deliverables, and risks associated with the stand-up and deployment of the operation.
- Contribute to the hiring, training, and onboarding of new team members into the Planning team.
- Develop training materials and conduct small group and 1:1 training on how to integrate o9 Solutions into the new Supply Planning processes.
- Create reports and other supply inputs into the organization’s Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, to enable demand-supply balancing analysis, size Open to Buy purchase requests, estimate write down budgets and cash needs.
- Execute all testing activities to ensure business requirements are achieved as part of the o9 Solutions rollout.
- Conceptualize, design, and implement new supply planning KPIs to support the Demand Driven Supply Network.
- Analyze Supply Planning KPIs to identify process and technology gaps that need improvements.
- Monitor o9 Solutions system performance to ensure timely availability of the plan to end users.
- Manage demand planning master data to support the planning system ongoing operation.
Knowledge/Skillset:
- Knowledge of and demonstrated experience applying best practice demand planning techniques in a highly promoted, short product lifecycle Mobile Retail, and/or Consumer Products environment at the store level where most demand is sporadic and non-normally distributed.
- Experience as a super user/team lead associated with an enterprise demand planning system (SAP APO/IBP, JDA, Oracle Demand, o9, etc.). Preferably experience as a change agent and or subject matter expert during a solution design, configuration and/or implementation phase.
- Experience with designing/redesigning business and or data processes to achieve incremental beneficial business results from a demand planning solution. Demonstrated history of initiating and driving innovative continuous improvement concepts from concept to realization.
- Knowledge of best practices associated with supply and procurement planning, sales and operations planning, statistical forecasting, constrained vs unconstrained supply planning, lifecycle curves, multi-channel demand with any-channel/omni channel fulfillment, new product introductions, backorder campaign management, retail display requirements.
- Knowledge of and experience with best practice supply management metrics; service levels, target days/weeks of supply, in-stock percentages and planner value add.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
