Engineer, Critical Infrastructure Architect

Overview of the Role:
The Engineer, Critical Infrastructure Architect will be an individual contributor working cross functionally across SME tool owners, engineers, end users and product managers to develop a standard data architecture so that our critical infrastructure tools can provide additional value to the business.
This will include defining data structure standards and working with other architects to have understanding of the entire Comcast Federated Architecture approach, including defining key data each tool should have as source of record, or know where to source it.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Proven experience working across multiple tool sets, technologies, API’s
Strong process and documentation skills – proven ability to understand the outcome required and back into technical detail to get there.
Measure what matters – develop KPI’s that drive the team to achieving meaningful business value
Preferred to have experience working with EPMS, DCIM and IWMS tools such as Foreseer, dcTrack, Nuvolo and understanding of Service Now change and incident.
Proven communicator – explaining the business ‘why’ and the technical requirements to achieve
Have a strong understanding of Comcast cable network architecture
Be able to deconstruct complex problems into technical solutions, phasing the approach if necessary and working with development teams cross functionally to realize them
About the Team:
The Network Facility and Energy team operates Comcast’s datacenter environment, sets critical infrastructure standards for the company, has responsibility for the tools roadmap, and plays a lead role in setting Comcast’s Energy strategy as it relates to Comcast’s 2035 Carbon Neutrality goal.
