Intern Job Description

Front End React Developer for a UI team working on Smart Network Platform(SNP). Project is designed to manage thousands of devices within one of the largest cable networks. SNP utilizes many micro-services to configure, manager and visualize the network. Team is working on expanding and improving the system, and to design new components.

Job Responsibilities

Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with the team to translate UX team wireframes guidance into Views in React
  • Help manage projects through the development and QA
  • Be part of a team that follows SAFE Agile methodologies
  • Work on progressive redesign and maintenance projects that have an immediate impact on how our customers experience our brand every day Develop new user-facing features
  • Optimize code for maximum speed and scalability
  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
  • Participate in code review
  • Identifying blockers and applying creative solutions within company guidelines
  • Staying on top of current trends in web development

Preferred Skills

  • May require Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or Mathematics major
  • Experience programming in React, Node js
  • Linux / Unix / MacOS experience
  • Git or similar

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
  • Rising Junior or Rising Senior with an anticipated graduation date of December 2023, Spring 2024, December 2024 or Spring 2025.
  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship
  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program
  • Recommended GPA: 3.0 (candidates will be evaluated on overall skills, education, and experience)

Base Pay: $32.00
