Job Summary

Responsible for managing the device standards used by our engineering teams to design and draft our national cable plant. This process includes engaging our hardware engineering teams to understand the capabilities of new equipment being prepared for use in our network, coordinating with our internal team to take the engineering specs and create drafting standards, followed by partnering with the consumers of our data to understand how to use the newly defined components. Manages ongoing lifecycle of new and existing device profiles. Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives.

Core Responsibilities

  • On-going regional and divisional SpatialNET support:

    • Triage SNET requests for:

      • Regional profile updates

      • Suspected device errors

      • Standards change requests, and

      • New feature or attribute requests

  • Coordinate new device updates with internal teams for:

    • New devices

    • New display layer requirements

    • ESRI updates

    • New Self-serve attribute displays

  • Respond to other engineering and development teams, regarding plant data, vetting standards requests, or requests for data access.
  • Identifying and prioritizing ongoing data cleanup needs to support business objectives.
  • Manages relationships with 3rd party data providers including the budgeting and contract negotiations.
  • Internalizes and represents the Voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle. Coordinates across other functional areas to secure buy-in to deliver on the defined end-to-end customer experience.
  • Teams with product development to deliver high quality products on time.
  • Participates in the strategic planning for enhancements to product content, pricing, packaging and features. Participate in defining product business and functional requirements. Provides product support and documentation and develops product materials.
  • Drafts and manages requirements and other supporting business documentation (such as use cases, possibly M&Ps [methods and procedures], executive summaries etc.).
  • Leads concepts defining an end-to-end customer experience and expected full lifecycle costs.
  • Contributes to the product vision across team and the organization.
  • Conducts feasibility assessments, capability gap analysis (i.e., what is wanted vs. what is attainable).
  • Manage change requests. Validates downstream deliverables and final offering (business acceptance testing).

Skills & Experience We're Looking For:
  • Team Leadership (Goal setting, performance reviews, employee development, hiring)
  • Working knowledge of Cable HFC plant and its operation
  • Solid understanding of RF & Fiber design
  • Capable of translating technical engineering requests into actionable tasks for team
  • Confident & effective communicator capable of handling regular interactions with leaders across the organization
