Analyst, Enterprise Business Analytics (DBO Steward)

Job Summary
Comcast is expanding our world-class Data Experience Team! The role of the Data Business Owner (DBO) Data Steward is to partner with teams across the organization to implement a Data Management and Engagement program to help treat data as a vital corporate asset. This position will be responsible for implementing the program in several stages as part of a strategic plan to continue transforming Comcast into a data driven organization to support both Data Management and Data Privacy objectives. This is an individual contributor position reporting to the Senior Director of Data Management and Engagement within Data Experience (dx). The pace is challenging but realistic.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Designing and implementing enterprise data governance/management processes to effectively govern enterprise data including both the accountability model and in the development of data management best practice.
Work to drive the following activities within each area of business area responsibility: Business Data Lead/Subject Matter Expert (SME) identification, Business Glossary development and enterprise data definition/glossary consensus, data taxonomy, data product certification process, and data quality.
Point of contact for the business data leads/SMEs for data governance/management tools spanning across a variety of teams throughout the enterprise to measure data quality and improve related metrics.
Identify and track data quality issues, escalations to data leads/SMEs, data definition/data glossary updates, and manages remediation plans with upstream source systems/platforms/data leads/Data Business Owners.
Engages with the Data Stewardship, Data Product, and Data Management teams to implement the data governance strategic roadmap and effectively help transform the enterprise.
Manages the stakeholder communication and training efforts for the data management program and operations inclusive of people, process, and technology.
Responsible for managing to the metrics related to the data governance program in addition to the data management operations goal of building data as a product across the enterprise.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong relationship management, change management and training, data governance/management and project management skillset
Demonstrated experience managing successful enterprise level projects
Ability to work effectively across a matrixed environment and influence without formal authority
Ability to implement change and inspire action amongst various teams
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Analytical with strong problem-solving ability
Experience
3-5 years of data management/governance/project management/data quality/business glossary/change management/training related and leadership experience
Exposure to the following a plus: Data Quality Framework, Teradata, Tableau, Atlas, Data Mesh
Comcast Division experience (NED, Central, West)
Knowledge of the Media and Entertainment and/or the MSO industry a plus
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required with related experience
MBA or MS preferred
