Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the Business Development team in its mission to source, develop, execute, and manage new partnerships from the technology ecosystem to drive growth, capabilities, and other strategic objectives of Comcast. The successful candidate will have a desire to flexibly work across a broad range of sectors by working with and supporting multiple team members. The successful candidate must possess superior analytical skills and be able to succinctly capture insights into presentations and effectively communicate them to broader internal audiences. The successful candidate must also be able to think freely about opportunities for Comcast and obsess over how to successfully execute them to deliver strategic value to Comcast. The successful candidate will also know how to navigate matrixed organizations with great judgement, humility, and self-awareness, and have and unending desire to learn and grow with Comcast.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Researches and performs financial, economic and other analysis of specific products, services, companies, and industry sectors.

  • Analyzes and evaluates new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, partnerships and potential deals. Builds detailed financial models and structures to evaluate business opportunities.

  • Conducts market analysis, researches and monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer and partner needs.

  • Actively participates in deal negotiations and deal management including maintaining all deal related artifacts such as term sheets, long form agreements, technical documentation, and deal issue lists.

  • Able to create presentations and work products for executive level audiences.

  • Effectively communicates work products to management through effective research, analysis, storytelling, and presentation skills.

  • Drafts business plans, deal and business justifications, and deal summaries as needed.

  • Responds to ad hoc requests from senior management team.

  • Can work independently as well as directly supporting the work of other Strategic Development team members.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or Economics or Equivalent experience; MBA a plus

  • 5-7 years experience in Business Development or related field

  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Demonstrated experience completing complex assignments

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and unstructured problems

  • Ambitious and driven to succeed

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to pragmatically evaluate commercial concerns and customer/partner needs.

  • Exceptional ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and hands-on operational levels.

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills

  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, high-spirited, and collaborative

  • Comfortable presenting to large groups and senior management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint/Keynote
