Field Development Specialist

The Field Development Specialist (FDS) is responsible for internal employee training with focus on quality and safety. This position assesses employees for training needs, maintains records of training activities,
and recommends improvements. The FDS assists in the selection of training tools or training delivery mechanisms and coordinates the flow of work based on department need.
Essential Functions
Execute internal employee training program, coordinate, track, and report employee participation
Create monthly training calendars and arrange for internal or external trainers
Coordinate materials and facilities for training sessions including handouts, supplies, technology, and virtual or physical conference rooms
Coach and on-board new technicians in all facets of truck operations, correct procedures, and servicing to USS standards
Assist Operations Manager with employee safety training and DOT file maintenance
Assess current technicians field capabilities with focus on the utilization of the 10 Point Service Plan, correct wear and use of personal protective equipment, and professional interaction with customers
Conduct regularly scheduled quality control functions
Perform Gate Checks and rental readiness
Complete periodic Technician Report Cards and Lytx Behavior review assessing individual effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity metrics and providing recommendations for further development
May be responsible for assisting others on the use of a Learning Management System (LMS)
Participate in post-accident investigations
Ability to travel domestically
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education - High School or GED
Experience - 1 yr of driving experience
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
OSHA 10 - Required
CPR and First Aid current certification - Required
Problem/situation analysis
Interpersonal skills
Must have a current and valid Class C with Tanker - Required (USS follows individual state requirements)
Valid driver's license
Ability to effectively train others
Bilingual preferred
