Non CDL Recycle Route Driver

Waste Connections is looking to hire a safety conscienceNon CDL Recycle Route Driver to join the team in Vancouver, Washington. Previous Driving experience would be a huge plus!

This is a Residential Special Recycling Route working Monday-Friday and starting at 7:00AM to 4:00Pm. This position will be driving a Sprinter Van to Customers home, collecting Special Recycle Materials.

Starting rate of pay is $22.00/HR.

Range of pay is $22.00-24.00/HR.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to safely operate a Sprinter Van on specified routes to collect Special Recycle Materials from Customers Home.

Ability to read Route Tablet or Route Sheets and service each customer identified on the Route or assigned by the dispatcher.

Ability to Lift, Push and Pull Recyclable Materials to load into the Route Van for Transfer.

Delivering 2X2 Recycle Containers to Customers

Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.

Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.

High Attention to detail to sort Recyclable Materials into correct containers for Disposal.

Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

A typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 7:00am to 4:00Pm, with an occasional Overtime as needed, 40-45 hour work week.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Moderate physical activity. Requires physical work; lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds at times.

Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.

The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Driver’s License

Clean Motor Vehicle Record

Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Minimum 2 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Basic knowledge of Safety pre- and post-trip inspection, before going out on route.
