Department Overview
The 9-1-1 Call Handling business is made up of two key segments, Emergency Call Routing and Emergency Call Taking. Emergency Call Routing is the next generation IP network combined with software that allows transport of an emergency call, text, video or IOT alert to the correct public safety answering point using geospatial routing. Emergency Call Taking software then presents the call, text, video or IOT alert to a call taker for triage and dispatch of a response. Additional supplemental data - such as real time location of the caller or emergency health profile data can also be displayed to help drive better outcomes.
Job Description
Work on products that support next generation emergency call handling (9-1-1) software solutions. From answering traditional voice calls to multi media calls (text, video etc). Integrating those call handling solutions with routing, dispatch, analytic solutions. We build the software that saves lives.
Develop maintainable, secure, and safety critical software within an Agile Scrum environment.
Develop automated tests (Unit, Integration, System) to validate software.
Work with multiple geographically distributed teams to develop and integrate software.
Investigate and resolve software defects.
Work with customer support to investigate and resolve issues.
Maintain existing software.
Perform peer code reviews and identify potential problems.
Continuously learn new technologies and advancements in existing technologies.
Integrate software components / services
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or equivalent degree).
2+ year experience with Java development.
Basic Requirements
