TITLE: Team Leader - Engineering

DUTIES: Nexteer Automotive Corporation seeks a Team Leader - Engineering in Saginaw, Michigan. Note, this position does not require travel.

Develop and rollout global CAE staffing plans based on strategic plan needs; Globally coordinate and prioritize CAE work; Supervise the North America CAE team. Powerpack Core Thermal CAE Analyst: Create CFD models of motor and controller assemblies and simulate test conditions; Conduct studies, using both analytical and experimental methods for providing solutions to improve thermal management of the system; Develop design of experiments by identifying key parameters that influence thermal design and generate guidelines and best practices; Analyze structural & thermo-mechanical behavior of the system using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools; Support program specific product development application teams; Provide technical support to Nexteer manufacturing plants and suppliers; Assist in maintaining cost controls & stay abreast of recent technology developments. Powerpack Architecture Thermal Design Lead: Develop and vet new thermal powerpack designs; Provide thermal simulation support for the powerpack architecture and pursuit teams.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Thermal Engineering and three years of experience in the job offered or related. Experience must include: Experience with CFD tools such as FloEFD for NX or similar tools; experience with CAD tools such as NX; experience with GD&T and drawing standards; experience with automotive product development processes; and experience with IPC standards including IPC-A-610, IPC-2221 and IPC-2222.
