Logistics Operations Controller

As a Logistics Operations Controller, you will be accountable for day-to-day management of Logistics for the Rotatives, Experimental Test, and LibertyWorks Businesses in the Indianapolis Campus. Your responsibilities will include the management of operational performance of physical logistics operations supporting the part movement, goods receipt, shipping, storage, and In-Factory Logistics and will include direct management of Rolls-Royce staff and indirect management of Logistics partner services. You will be responsible to achieve the Logistics 2.0 vision of Drive to Zero Harm, Drive to Zero Logistics Defects, Logistics Cost Control, Drive to Zero Logistics Arrears, and Process Compliance.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Leading an effective and efficient Logistics organization in support of the Rotatives, Experimental Assy, and LibertyWorks Organization in Excellence Building
  • Establishing, maintaining and monitoring service level agreements, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), costs and behavioural metrics for Rolls-Royce physical logistics operations
  • Ensuring Site Compliance with RRMS Logistics Processes (SP2 / SP5) and working to introduce new RRMS Work Instructions and Standards
  • Manage Government Property in accordance with associated FAR flowdown requirements
  • Acting as single point of contact for Logistics movements across all businesses within Excellence Building
  • Delivering Logistics project milestones on-time, under cost and within agreed scope
  • Coordinating and Planning the Business Continuity / Risk Aspects for Logistics in Excellence Building

Basic Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Operations or Supply Chain with 4+ years experience in Logistics or Operations environment OR;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations or Supply Chain with 2+ years of experience in Logistics or Operations environment OR;
  • Masters degree in Engineering, Operations or Supply Chain OR;
  • JD/PhD OR;
  • In Lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience in Logistics or Operations environment
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen
