Job Requirements: Support Service Supervisor/Pre-analytical Supervisor

• A Bachelor’s degree in Science or Medical Technology, or equivalent clinical laboratory experience (2-3 yrs) years preferred
• 2-3 years of experience in Pre-Analytical Operations desired
• 1-2 years of people leadership is preferred
• Demonstrated history of team-building and process improvement success is desired
• A strong understanding of LabCorp Systems and applications is a plus
• Experience with basics of Microsoft Office, Outlook, timekeeping, payroll, and related Supervisory tools desired

Hours: Tuesday- Saturday 10:00 pm-6:30 am

This role will oversee a portion of the clinical laboratory operation which handles:

Pre-analytical Operations-focus on the Front end/Processing

• General Responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and developing pre-analytical teams, emphasis on Specimen Processing/Accessioning including Saturday Pre-analytical operations
  • Performance management and workforce development; staff progression and employee retention
  • Overseeing training and competency evaluations
  • Staff scheduling and assignments
  • SOP development and assigned learning platforms for team members
  • Keeping Pre-analytical departments “inspection-ready”; responding to all Quality Audits, both internal and external
  • Controlling labor costs, including regular, OT, and contingent hours worked
• Will work collaboratively with leaders in areas of pre-analytics on process improvements toward increasing quality and efficiencies.
  • Work to eliminate and reduce re-work, waste, redundancies, and delays
• Will communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• Will develop a rapport with Accessioning leadership across the division
  • provide advice that aligns with divisional and corporate Standard Operating Procedures
• Will work in conjunction with other Pre-Analytical Leadership to ensure smooth hand-offs of unresolved issues to maintain service continuity 24/7
• Will work collaboratively and cooperatively with other laboratory managers, directors, and VPs on projects and objectives to guarantee the Dublin Laboratory is a Market Leading Services provider.
