JOB PURPOSE

Unilever Global Personal Care Business group manages an annual material spend of €5 billion – procuring a wide range of raw materials from Palm, Packaging, Chemicals, Finished Products, Food ingredients and soft commodities– that mainly goes into across our categories. With input cost seeing huge inflations in 2021-2022, competitive sourcing has become ever more relevant for Unilever to maintain its bottom line. Furthermore, given the large global footprint, procurement team actively invests in suppliers, communities, and technology to ensure we source sustainably.

As a Value Partner, you will be part of the Unilever Procurement Finance organisation, a global team consisting of over 60 members across the globe, supporting and helping Procurement organization and Personal Care BG team to achieve its goals. Your key stakeholders will be sourcing professionals in charge of different portfolios located in all geographies globally, as well as Global Personal care Finance, Procurement, Supply chain and business teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This role provides the finance business partnering through the effective performance management, division partnering and support on various value-delivery projects:

  • Drive the active performance management reporting to ensure that the business targets and operational KPIs are achieved
  • Drive the cost, cash and sustainability agenda in line with Procurement Strategy and gross margin ambition of the business
  • Ensure that the procurement organization has adequate financial acumen and understanding of policies and procedures through regular and effective training and presentation of relevant finance initiatives, policies and procedures
  • Support the procurement forecast through deep-dives and understanding of the different drivers and causes of price impact
  • Provide effective business partnering to the portfolio team to optimize savings opportunities and to drive cash generation
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the global business organizations and functional areas (Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain) and develop relationships required to be an effective ambassador for Procurement Finance and the Procurement.
  • Partner with the PC Procurement / R&D team to ensure latest material inflation and related items – product logic/CMA – is communicated to the business
  • Handle projects or work assignments that may be assigned by the line manager from time to time in support of the overall procurement performance
  • Drive the continuous improvement and leverage of information technology to improve savings and forecast/analytics tools

ALL ABOUT YOU

  • Professional qualification (CA/ACCA) or University degree preferably in Business Administration, Finance or related areas
  • Suitable years of financial experience in a comparable role preferably in FMCG sector
  • Strong Business Acumen – the candidate should be business savvy and should be able to bring a business perspective to role
  • Highly analytical and ability to quickly understand new concepts and process chains
  • Flexible, with the ability to shift gear in a fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguity
  • Learning mindset, curious and eager to tackle new challenges
  • MS Excel modelling skills and attention to detail to understand lots of data sets
  • PowerPoint / Presentation skills
  • Excellent communications skills in English (spoken and written)

Location

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money.
