Carpenter Journeyman (Jacksonville FL)
This position is located in Jacksonville, FL.
Position Description: Responsible for organizing and completing
carpentry (rough or finish) related tasks at building construction projects.
May perform other duties as necessary or required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
-Possess strong rough carpentry skills for constructing and removing formwork
for structural tilt up, and paving concrete. Formwork includes job-built forms
and/or formwork systems, reveals, chamfers, pour stops. OR Possess the skills necessary to complete finish and interior
carpentry work including but not limited to millwork, casework, and
installation of decorative panels, doors, frames, hardware and miscellaneous
equipment and specialties items.
-Shape or cut materials to specified measurements.
-Erect scaffolding and ladders as needed.
-Install structures and fixtures including but not limited to windows, frames,
floorings, trim and hardware.
-Reviews jobsite needs with the superintendents & foreman and coordinates
construction.
-Estimate, inventory, monitor, and request time, staff, material, and equipment
needed to complete work.
-Operate equipment such as forklifts, backhoe, skid steer, excavator,
compactors, and construction hoist.
-Assist with the overall site safety and quality programs as required and
ensuring Trade employees/subcontractors compliance with Turner standards and
all applicable safety codes, regulations, and jobsite security.
-Maintain positive working relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers
and other employees.
