BAE Systems is looking to hire an Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) to support multiple programs executed out of our San Diego, CA campus. As the CPSO, you will work on all aspects of special program security. The CPSO must have the ability to work independently to identify, assess & resolve unique security situations with innovative solutions geared to facilitate contract performance within the bounds of security requirements. Administering the security procedures (NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07 series, Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, and JSIG), as they relate to operating in a classified environment for: personnel processing, media control, marking and control of documents / materials, security education, visitor control, destruction of classified. Develop, prepare, and implement local Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Operations Security (OPSEC) Plans, and proprietary test plans utilizing risk management principles. Maintain a secure facility in accordance with (IAW) ICD 705. Oversee the specialized procedures for the transmission of classified and/or proprietary material/information. Conduct and/or participate in internal reviews and/or Government inspections. Investigate security infractions/violations and prepare reports specifying the potential for loss or compromise and the associated risk to the program(s). Collaborate and assist the ISSO / ISSM on implementation of JSIG requirements.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Active Top Secret clearance (within a 5 year scope).
- Experience with Special Access Programs (SAP) policies and procedures
- Experience with the construction outlines and requirements of ICD-705
- Extensive knowledge of the DoDM 5205.07 vol. 1-4 and all other relevant policies and procedures to include the NISPOM
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions.
- Must have a professional demeanor, good people skills, and ability to communicate effectively, and be able to perform in a multi-tasked, dynamic environment.
- Bachelors degree with 6 years of SAP experience
- Experience working with the Air Force security managers in all disciplines
- Experience as a CPSO or Security Manager
- Knowledge of the ICD-705, and SAP directives
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the DoD SAP Manuals, ICDs and TEMPEST.
- Ability to apply the foregoing knowledge of government security requirements in a complex multi-level secure environment to ensure program compliance in non-routine situations.
