Program Analyst/Engineer Junior
Overview
This position is for a Junior Program Analyst or Engineer to support the FAAs Policy and Performance directorate. This person will be integral to supporting the ATOs Performance and Analysis Directorate in performing safety risk analysis, Independent Operational Assessments, Audits and Assessments and general overall safety analyses. This includes development of assessment strategies, plans, procedures, checklists and the support of conduct. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer, analytical, self-motivated and can work independently in the support of the Policy and Performance Directorate.
This position is a temporary contract of employment through April 2023.
Responsibilities

- Requirements verification and/or validation
- Preparing Test Plans, Procedures and Test Reports.
- Assist work groups who perform safety analyses by taking notes, recording actions, writing safety documentation, and analyzing data.
- Read and understand the risk management policy and process; train others.
- Provide expertise in the application of the safety risk management policy; provide input to support efforts to improve policy and processes.
- Provide project support to help track tasks, goals, and progress.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet contract, company, and departmental goals and objectives

Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors of Science Degree from an accredited college or university. 1-5 years of work experience.
- Good writing and analytic skills are necessary.
- Candidate must be able to think conceptually and apply ideas at a lower level.
- A background in National Airspace System testing, safety, risk management, and/or air traffic control is a plus.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Clearance:
- Good writing and analytic skills are necessary.
- Candidate must be able to think conceptually and work independently.
- Ability to create and update documents using Microsoft products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Project).
- Must be able to pass a Federal background investigation.
Computer Skills:
- Ability to create and update documents using Microsoft products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Project
Experience:
- At least 1 year of work experience. Knowledge of FAA systems, procedures, air traffic control and/or safety is a significant plus.
