SURGICAL SERVICES SUPPLY & EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST
Job Description:
Job Summary: Provides assembly and preparation of scheduled case carts for O.R. cases and works under the supervision of the Sterile Processing Supervisor. Monitors par level of sterile supplies in the Operating Room and assists in room preparation and set up. Also, this person needs to have prior Surgical Technologist experience. As a member of the surgical team, provides technical assistance to the surgeon/physician during surgical intervention under the supervision of the RN. When not directly assisting the physician in a procedure, may participate in the rendering of patient care.Requirements: Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field; Passage of the certifying examination administered by the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist is preferred and is required to be completed within 12 months; 3-5 years experience; American Heart Association CPR certification; Surgical Technologist certification; Microsoft Office Suite; Basic computer skills; Cerner; Healthstream; Standard office equipment; Medical terminology; Critical thinking skills; Medical equipment; Hospital computer systems; Surgical equipment and instruments.
