Connectomics Researcher
Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the Center for Integrative Connetomics (CIC) Director(s) and the Principal Investigator, the Connectomics Researcher will utilize propriety software and technology for image processing of neuroanatomical research data. You will also work with the Principal Investigator and other researchers to plan, design and conduct highly technical and complex research projects to meet federally funded milestone deadlines. In addition, you will analyze research data and provides interpretations, contribute to the development of research documentation for publication and assist in training other employees engaged in dry laboratory technical services on a regular or project basis, as needed.QualificationsFamiliarity with biochemical techniques and skill to perform all necessary biochemistry experiments.
Familiarity with light microscopy techniques.
Strong familiarity with electron microscopy techniques and expertise in the use of the electron microscope.
Understanding of the theory of image formation and tomographic reconstruction.
Skill in mathematics and statistics for biochemistry data analysis.
Previous experience in connectomics required.
