Phlebotomy Supervisor
Responsibilities
The Bruin University Reference Laboratory (BURL) is seeking to hire a Phlebotomy Supervisor to manage our 10+ draw stations located within the Los Angeles County. Primary duties include:*Oversee day to day operational activities of all draw stations
*Lead and supervise a team of 20+ lab technicians, which includes recruitment, training, and performance management
*Provide support in long range planning to meet budget and productivity goals
*Oversee purchasing and expenditure control
Qualifications*Current, valid California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certificate
*Minimum 10 years' phlebotomy experience (post receiving CPT certificate)
*3 years' lab management or supervisory experience, including demonstrated ability in managing employee performance is highly desirable
*Must be familiar with Clinical Lab regulatory compliance and experience with various accrediting agency inspections
*Skilled in resolving complex personnel issues, involving interpretation and application of established policies and procedures, managerial analysis, and decision making
*Ability to troubleshoot issues that arise outside of normal working hours, including weekends and holidays
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
