Central Service Technician 1, Per Diem - Westwood
Responsibilities
In this position, you will perform duties as a Central Service Technician (CST) which includes distribution of supplies and equipment as assigned within UCLA Health System. This position is a support position to patient care. Assignments are given according to organizational goals. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to placing orders to replenish inventory supply levels, assessing inventory turns to adjust par levels to accommodate changing demand, receiving and transporting supplies weighing up to 50 pounds to their destination locations, reconciling packing slips against delivered content, and restocking inventory supply areas. You will serve as a liaison to ensure that the assigned clinical department heads' supply needs are being met.QualificationsRequired:
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Strong English verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
- Display high energy, thrive in a team environment, and eager to share his or her ideas for improvement
- Detail oriented, comfortable with entering data into a database or excel spreadsheet
- Able to work independently, disciplined and conscientious enough to adhere to strict deadlines without continuous monitoring
Preferred:
- Previous hospital experience
- Experience in electronic ordering using a handheld and in extracting reports from a fully integrated supply chain fulfillment software such as Lawson
