Student Lab Assistant (Work-Study)
Responsibilities
As a student worker for the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, you will work closely with the PI and provide general administrative support and laboratory maintenance. Duties include:*Cleaning and autoclaving of lab glassware
*Preparation of various buffers and solutions
*DNA extraction, PCR and gel electrophoresis
*Inventory and stocking of lab supplies
*Light maintenance of certain lab equipment
*Data entry
*The applicant must be able to lift at least 40 pounds. Previous experience in the lab is preferred but not required.
