Under the direction of the Executive Chief Administrative Officer, this position serves multiple roles as the
Director of Operations for the Departments of Urology and OBGYN. In this role, you will be responsible for department-wide
management, planning, evaluation, directing, organizing, coordinating and monitoring services. You will work with the Executive CAO and departments CFO on financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting and department budgets. Working in conjunction with the Executive CAO, dept leadership, and Health System, you will play a critical role in developing and executing operational strategies.
As our Director of Operations, you will initiate and lead large scale initiatives, while effectively managing change, to achieve strategic goals and advance the organization's mission and vision. You will lead several large service centers that provides services to three additional depts. The Director of Operations will function independently within general parameters set by the Executive Chief Administrative Office (ECAO).
QualificationsWe're seeking an exceptionally-skilled organizational leader with:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or organizational development
- Five or more years of experience in an academic medical organization
- Experience leading the delivery of large, complex, enterprise-level projects, solutions, or initiatives
- Experience with process design and value-stream mapping
- Ability to work effectively with employees at all organizational levels
- Ability to create a shared direction within a diverse, cross-functional project team with conflicting goals/constraints
- PMP or Six Sigma (e.g., Green, Lean, Black Belt) expertise preferred
- Proficiency
with Lean/Agile tools or project management applications (e.g., Visio,
JIRA/Confluence, Kanban, etc.) highly desirable
