Student Assistant
Responsibilities
The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human behavior is seeking
to hire part-time Student Assistant to join the Wilke + Denardo Labs. You will provide basic
laboratory research tasks. Primary duties include:
- Making solutions
- Preparing mouse reward pellets
- Handling/habituation of mice
- Running behavior experiments
- Record keeping, organizing supplies/reagents
Must be current UCLA student
Excellent organization skills required
Ability to work with and around mice
Ability to perform precise, detail-oriented laboratory work with a high degree of reliability and accuracy
Skill in working independently
Ability to flexibly adapt to the demands of multiple projects
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with faculty and coworkers
Ability to effectively utilize basic computer programs like MS word, excel, etc.
