Magnet Program Coordinator, Santa Monica
Responsibilities
The Nursing Magnet Coordinator works independently with a high degree of autonomy, as well as collaboratively with the Manager, Nursing Excellence; Executive Director Nursing Practice, Education and Research; Chief Nursing Officer of the assigned hospital/entity; Unit Directors and leadership teams; and clinical staff to promote nursing excellence. The Magnet Coordinator manages and supports quality related nursing standards of care for the organization in accordance with organizational goals and objectives as directed. The Magnet Coordinator also works with the nursing division and other departments across the health system to support the Shared Governance model, further enhance evidenced-based nursing practice, improve patient and nursing satisfaction, and assist with the ongoing development of professional growth opportunities for clinical staff.
Qualifications* BLS from the ARC or AHA, required
* Current CA RN License, required
* BSN Required, MSN preferred
* 5 years of progressive leader/management growth, strongly desired
* Prior experience with Magnet designation , preferred
* Strong clinical background in healthcare.
