WHAT YOU'LL DO We want a strong individual to serve as the Change & Communications Senior Manager acting as Chapter Lead, leading a team of BCG full time employees and Change Management vendors, delivering extraordinary Change Management and internal marketing across agile squads. Our Digital Product tribes support the digital tools available to all ~30k BCGers, ranging from digital collaboration, HR and Finance tools as well as content management tools. The Change Chapter Senior Manager plays a meaningful role, serving as a Change Management and internal marketing thought partner to tribe leadership; people manager and servant leader to the Chapter; doer and individual contributor; and collaborator and influencer. As the overall team evolves, this role may require the support of additional tribes as well (including additional capacity). Basic job responsibilities include: As Change Management and internal marketing thought partner to tribe leadership (incl. Tribe Lead, Technical Area Lead, and Product Owners) you will: Set and drive the change agenda independently with only broad direction Align on priorities across the tribe Assess high-level business impact Identify change and comms priorities Resolve level of change support required (incl. abilities, experience, capacity) As people manager you will: Act as a player-coach line-manager in line with the agile framework Guide the development of their expertise, providing SME mentoring to help them identify areas for training and on-the-job expertise Encouraging autonomy, delegating thoughtfully, and providing a safe space for the team to grow and develop Creating time for feedback, 1:1 relationship building, and mentoring opportunities Ensuring the “how” of the work performed by the team is aligned with established communication and change management best practices, technical roadmaps and guardrails As servant leader to the Change & Comms Chapter (FTE + vendors) you will: Soundboard approaches and ideas Thought partner to troubleshoot issues and risks Escalate critical issues and remove blockers Develop and embed enablers (e.g. best practices) Mentor and coach As individual contributor you will lean into an initiative(s) where senior Change Management and/or internal marketing experience and leadership is required to identify and solve highly-complex problems with long-term business impacts, ranging from: Defining and implementing a Change Approach or internal marketing plan for a large, high-visibility program Working to course correct an initiative that has gone off track As collaborator and doer, you will: Work closely across relevant tribes and teams to align on priorities and cross tribe/team collaboration Lead senior stakeholders and build consensus around the Change Management approach YOU'RE GOOD AT Inspiring and motivating your team Comfortable with planning and execution Influencing the organization through thought leadership Committing to cross-functional collaboration to achieve the best results for the organization Mentoring and developing people to improve their performance, knowledge, and expertise Intellectually curious and enjoy learning new skills and capabilities Bring a data-driven approach to decision making, both in day-to-day management and in making strategic trade-offs YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) 8-10+ years of relevant experience, ideally in an Organizational Change Management and/or internal marketing role Detailed success in a management position, leading cross-functional teams and solving complex problems with significant business impact Leading through influence, building long-term relationships and confidence building vision, roadmaps, budgets, priorities and objectives Good understanding of technology-enabled business transformation, digital transformation, organizational transformation, delivering enterprise-level IT and digital projects Financial literacy and ability to understand how budgets and funding processes impact the Chapter's work Knowledge of Agile Methodologies and ways of working, understanding, and applying “servant leader” approach with the ability to engage in Agile ceremonies to provide teams vital direction and guidance Exceptional collaborator leadership skills Ambitious and comfort working within constantly evolving environment Experience in consulting is a plus Change Management and/or Marketing professional certification is a plus Experience work in Agile teams is a plus Internal BCG candidate preferred due to existing knowledge of the culture and business landscape / consulting background preferred but not required Excellent verbal and written communication. Fluency in English (writing, reading, speaking) Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree (MA, MBA, PhD, JD, etc.) preferred YOU'LL WORK WITH The Change & Comms CoE to develop standard practices that can be demonstrated across the broader Digital Products Change Management cohort. The respective tribe members including Tribe Lead, Technical Area Lead, Product Owners and Engineers.
