Labcorp is looking for talented, ambitious and resourceful individuals, who are willing to start at the entry level apprentice position and demonstrate their ability and willingness to learn our business.
Our new, exciting 18-month apprenticeship program, in partnership with Madison Area Technical College, will give you an opportunity to learn about drug development while working toward a career in Animal Laboratory Science and gaining college credits.

How will you be rewarded!
Working in Madison, WI, our Animal Care workers:
Pay rate: $17.00 per hour – progressing up to $20.00 per hour during the 2-year program, based on performance
Work 1st shift including weekends, some holidays and some overtime
Enjoy 24 days of personal-time-off (PTO) (pro-rated depending on start date)
Earn 10 college credits at Madison Area Technical College while being paid!
You will be invited to attend professional development workshops, webinars
May be eligible for up to $600 reimbursement for college coursework materials (e.g. books)
Have the option to participate in the Labcorp Education Advantage program (upon apprenticeship coursework completion) where you have access to over 20 Undergraduate On-line Degree Programs. Tuition is paid by Labcorp!

What will you be doing:
This entry level role requires no experience, just an interest in working with small and large animals in a laboratory setting.
Maintaining the highest standards of animal care and welfare in accordance with the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC)
Performing daily cleaning, feeding of our laboratory animals
Sanitation and operation of animal laboratory equipment
Providing environmental and dietary enrichment
Learning and applying proper handling techniques
Maintains well documented laboratory records according to GLPs
Perform other related duties as assigned
Working in a fast-paced, team environment
Experience
No experience required
Must be 18 years or older
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Must have achieved score of 15 or higher on the English component of ACT AND 19 or higher on the Reading component of the ACT to enroll. *Must provide documentation of scores prior to interview.
