Senior Manager, Scrum Master
Job Description
CVS Health maintains large data platforms which are continually evolving with new technology and capabilities. The Enterprise Data Platform consists of large on-prem Hadoop and Cloud hosted data environments that manage CVS’s line of business (Health Insurance, Retail, and Pharmacy Benefits) data for data science, analytics, and reporting purposes. Many supporting tools and technologies are deployed with these data environments as part of the EDP to support project deliverables.
In the role of a SAFe Scrum Master for our Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) train you will work in a fast-paced environment and will carry the responsibility to support teams planning and delivering key features of our EDP. Your responsibility includes executing the SAFe methodology from a Scrum Master role perspective as part of this team as well as planning the capacity and ceremonies for multiple teams and supporting the Product Owner as they manage the backlog of features and stories for a focused set of capabilities.
You will be expected to collaborate closely with Business Stakeholders, Product Managers, Product Owners, other Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineer and Engineering teams in a fully scaled agile environment. You will work closely with the teams to ensure that all committed features are delivered by facilitating planning ceremonies effectively with the team, highlighting areas the team can operation better, and generally enabling the team to be successful. As a Scrum Master you will be responsible for managing Clarity projects for your teams as well as other teams to assure that all staff are tracking and charging their project hours appropriately. Assisting the RTE with Train level ceremonies and PI Planning logistics as well. Overall, everyone will be helping to deliver innovative capabilities utilizing CVS Health's advanced IT organization and strategic partnerships.
Primary skills include strong communication, project management, technical knowledge of big data and analytics systems, and demonstrated ability to work with all stakeholders to effectively guide a SAFe team through their ceremonies. SAFe or Agile experience required.
Fundamental Components:
Communicate and educate teams on the SAFe methodology and how to effectively practice SAFe.
Track the membership and participation of team members from Rally points perspective as well as a Clarity time tracking perspective.
Work with product and program management to plan the development and delivery of all prioritized features on a SAFe Program Increment schedule. All of which is maintained in Rally.
Support the execution of PI commitments and timeliness.
Understanding of software development methodologies.
Track Milestones and associated use-cases.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 115,000
Maximum: 230,000
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of Scrum Master related industry experience
3+ years of relevant IT experience.
1.5+ years’ experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), Agile Experience and certification are desirable
Working with data or big data technology projects
Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams
SAFe Scrum Master certification
Preferred Qualifications
Background in project management, data systems and/or data management
Rally experience
SAFe PI Planning Experience, SAFe Program Increment execution and delivery experience.
Clarity Experience
Google GCP, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and related cloud data service
Exposure to Data Science, BI, and Analytics systems
Engaging and concise speaking and presentation skills
Education
Bachelors required
