Digital Development Engineer

Job Description
Aetna Resources LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Alpharetta, GA: Digital Development Engineer to design, develop and execute performance test strategy for enterprise software applications and platforms. Duties include: Analyze performance validation needs and develop performance test solutions; test web based and middleware applications on Windows and LINUX environments; perform assessments of non-functional requirements and design test execution strategy for web-based, middleware, and oracle-based backend using Performance Center, Vugen (or Loadrunner) and Load-Analysis; work with Java and .Net based applications to define performance test automation frameworks using enterprise performance testing tools helping to build integrated platforms and underlying products to drive engagement and revolutionize health and wellness; deliver performance test and work with enterprise monitoring applications; communicate, coordinate, and align the performance test strategy with the engineering team members; make recommendations to improve reliability; review Server logs, Garbage Collection logs, heap dumps, and thread dumps for identifying the root cause of performance bottlenecks; develop Vugen scripts for .NET/Java applications; participate in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) with SAFe Agile best practices and CI/CD pipelines automation; analyze load test results and provide technical recommendations from findings; design workload scenarios in ALM Performance Center; set up monitors in ALM Performance Center to collect metrics fromWeb, application and DB servers; monitor client metrics like V users, Hits/Sec, Throughput, Transaction Response Time and Connections from ALM PC during the test; and monitor servermetrics like CPU Usage, Memory consumption, and Disk utilization using tools like Riverbed and Splunk during the test. Required Qualifications
Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Engineering, or a related field and two (2)years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Also requires two (2) years of experience with each of the following: developing scripts with C and/or Java; designing test execution strategy for web-based, middleware and Oracle-based backend using Performance Center, Loadrunner, Jmeter, SOAP UI and Load Analysis; enterprise monitoring applications, including Optnet, Splunk, App Dynamics, Sitescope, and/or Dynatrace; writing basic to intermediate SQL queries; and SQL database objects.
