Job Description
Responsible for conducting a variety of tests, analyses, production, technical review, and research activities, and actively participating in laboratory operations, data review, and analysis.

1. Tests and examines a variety of samples, specimens, or products, ensuring conformance to standards and specifications. Analyzes data, interprets results, and evaluates trends.
2. Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work.
3. Performs demanding technological procedures.
4. Writes and reviews investigations for out-of-level results and other microbiology-related investigations.
5. Reviews testing methodology and standard operating procedures, making suggestions for improvements where appropriate
6. Plans, schedules, and submits operational activities and budgets to management.
7. Maintains lab equipment and assists in maintaining laboratory facility to standards.
8. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 19.52
Maximum: 40.10

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical microbiology and/or compounding pharmacy operations, including regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of the principles of microbiology, including bacteriology, serology, virology, parasitological, mycology, and hematology.
• Experienced with pharmaceutical microbiology test methods, procedures, terminology, equipment, supplies, and techniques.
• Experienced at analyzing data, interpreting results, summarizing findings and problem solving, including the knowledge of statistical techniques used in the treatment of scientific data.
• Ability to make policy recommendations based on scientific data.
• Knowledge of sources of literature in the field.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in a cGMP environment or microbiology lab.

Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required
Preferred Bachelors in Life Science
