JOB TITLE = Machine Operator

POSITION REPORTS TO = Metal Supervisor

CATEGORY=Nonexempt full time employee

JOB PURPOSE =Set up and operation of assigned fabrication machine to form parts according to manufacturing procedures and scheduling requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Set-up and operate Amada Press Brakes/Roll forming machines (HFE-M2, RG100, RG50, Cincinatti, Waldemar Baileigh).

Select, Load and install correct tooling; Maintain tool Inventory; Keep tools clean and orderly

Perform 1st level quality inspections based on Customer drawings or shop prints.

Knowledge of general machining, cur=tting, grinding, and spot welding.

Daily housekeeping in your area of responsibility and Participation on all safety initiatives.

Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

5+ Years Press Brake and Operating experience

Previous Metal fabrication background

Dimensional measuring and shop math competence

Ability to read and understand Blueprints

Possess high caliber of quality control; strong skills in observing/inspecting own work

Effective communication skills to discuss and understand work procedures, training, general directions and other issues

Ability to work within a team environment

Must be able to work overtime as required

Must possess a positive “Can Do” attitude

Manage time effectively as to accomplish all tasks within an appropriate timeframe

Knowledge on Calculation of Bend allowance and bend deductions

Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Assist in efficient flow of inbound and outbound materials and utilize space in an efficient manner

Assist in downstream operations as needed

About the Location (Hilliard OH)

Our Hilliard Plant, one of twelve Armstrong plants in North America, employs 100+ people across multiple shifts who are involved in the manufacturing and shipping of acoustical ceiling tile. The Hilliard plant prides itself in placing high priority on safety, quality and exceeding customer expectations.
