Overview
The Mobile Solutions Engineer will help take Prudential’s mobile practice to the next level and support our ever-expanding catalog of digital products. This role will have a direct and lasting impact on the successful outcomes for our business partners. This role will be development focused, with a cloud native, offline-first, native mobile, security mindset. Th eMobile team provides mobile application development accelerators, governance, and best practices and patterns to all global business units.
Responsibilities
Develop native mobile application frameworks, sample applications, PoCs, reference architectures, and R&D on new features/technologies
Create and maintain internal documentation on release programs to ensure everyone is operating from the most recent and accurate information
Continuously improve alpha, beta, and production release tooling and process
Maintain surveillance and upgrades to all environments and tools in the pipeline
Take a data-driven approach to product development and iteration, and help continue to advocate and assist other business partners in doing the same
Help coordinate and communicate project estimations to the rest of the team as well as business partners
Requirements
Experience contributing to high-functional, large-scale architecture
Experience with iOS and Android development
Experience with mobile application security and authentication methods / protocols
Experience working with hybrid and cloud application stacks
Experience working within a service-oriented application platform
Proficient in use of issue tracking tools and platform-specific app stores
Experience in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) process automation
Excellent troubleshooting skills and analytical abilities
Agile methodologies
Experience with mobile QA automation suites (Saucelabs, Perfecto Mobile, etc.)
Passionate about best-in-class mobile applications
Skills
Excellent communication/presentation skills both written and verbal
Leads conversations with both technical and business counterparts
BS degree with 3-5 years of professional experience working in development and release management of mobile applications (iOS and Android) and/or full stack development
Experience with ServiceNow a plus
