Walmart Connect is hiring a Head of Sales Specialists to drive growth in Walmart's advertising business. In this role you will help to identify and build advertising solutions for businesses of all shapes and sizes. Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities will help shape how new and existing businesses grow. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Walmart Connect's advertisers and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. You will be working across multiple teams within Connect in building strategies, plans and best practices to deliver business results. As a key leader within the Sales Strategy and Enablement team your leadership is critical to demonstrating Walmart values and fostering our culture by holding yourself and others accountable, and maintain and promote the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with Walmart Connect product marketing and product management teams to take new Walmart Connect products to market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with advertisers and agencies.
  • Influence long-term strategic direction for Walmart Connect's sales and product development.
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of the company and its products, research consumer needs, and identify how our solutions can address those needs.
  • Work with sales teams to design industry-specific outreach efforts and identify adjustments to sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field.
  • Measure the business against the objectives and key results, accurately forecast, and report the state of the business, such as adoption rates, on time launch rates etc.
  • Assist advertisers in identifying use cases suitable for Walmart Connect PMM and product teams. Articulate key solution differentiators and measurable business impact.
  • Define, establish and implement sales processes for new product offerings to ensure ways of working, controls and handoffs have been properly identified and established across sales, business operations, analytics, and product to deliver on business goals.
  • Employ strong troubleshooting skill and oversight of the implementation and integration of new emerging products and tools and/or technologies that will enable Walmart Connect to work effectively and efficiently as an organization.
  • Requires an individual that works well in a team-based, fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
  • The individual is expected to be resourceful and demonstrate the initiative to participate in advanced projects.
  • Must understand online advertising capabilities like advanced audience targeting, media planning and buying techniques, and evaluation of media performance.
  • Focused on developing talent. Build talent pipelines. Empower associates and partners to act in the best interest of advertisers and the company. Regularly recognize others' contributions and accomplishments.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • 10+ years of business/media/ad ops/digital industry experience
  • 5 + years of leading cross-functional teams through foundational building of process to mature operational execution
  • Basic knowledge of advertising KPIs and processes: CPC, CTR, ROAS, Conversion Rat
  • Experience managing teams through periods of rapid growth and navigating ambiguity
  • Knowledge of Retail Media Networks
  • Experience working across multi-functional team (sales, business operations, yield, optimization, product) and leading projects through problem identification to resolution

Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in programmatic, CTV, search, and/or social advertising.
  • Experience conveying technical principles in a consultative approach.
  • Experience with product demonstrations and communicating how customers can achieve value.
  • Ability to provide data and insights to advertisers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in and across large cross-functional organizations
