Job Summary

Responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of corporate aircraft. Efficiently inspect, troubleshoot, repair, function test, remove, reinstall, and return to service of aircrafts using the proper tooling and test equipment in a safe, professional, and clean manner in according to manufacturer’s specifications, FAA regulations and Comcast Aviation Department Flight Operations Manual procedures. Communicates effectively with Operation Department and Flight Crew. Applicants must have an A&P certificate, and preferred experience working on Gulfstream and Falcon aircrafts. Works with moderate supervision/guidance, accountable for individual results and impact on team. Willing to help create a positive team atmosphere where members are challenged to maintain flight department aircrafts in the safest, highest quality and most efficient means possible.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a knowledge of, and adherence to, quality standards as outlined by Comcast, governmental agencies, and aircraft/engine OEMs.
  • Must be available to work the following: day shift/nights shift, weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary or assigned by Director of Maintenance
  • Accurately scopes out length and difficulty of task and projects schedule, sets objectives and goals, breaks down work into a process step, anticipating and adjusting for unforeseen problem to maintain aircraft flight schedule.
  • Establish and maintain standards for corporate maintenance technician training program to meet FAA training and Comcast Flight Operations Manual (FOM) minimum requirements.
  • Maintains adequate and appropriate aircraft parts inventory certification, calibration of tooling, working condition and cleanliness of GSE support vehicles.
  • Additional Aviation Mechanic’s duties could also include the following but not limited to:
    • Maintaining FSDO (FAA) compliance
    • Fuel Farm compliance and maintenance
    • Hangar upkeep
    • Travel requirements for on-site managing of aircraft at a maintenance service center
    • Maintaining facilities EHS requirements
    • Maintaining OSHA regulations
  • Review aircraft maintenance records and tracking system paperwork for accuracy, quality control, and compliance with FAR’s.
  • Completes and maintains accurate and timely aircraft project documentation including reviewing vendor proposals for approval recommendations and preliminary reports (invoice) to ensure accuracy of forecasted billed parts/labor hours.
  • Participates in final review of work orders and invoices for payment with Director of Maintenance.
  • Maintain and keep up to date the CAMP Maintenance Program to assure the proper aircraft/engine maintenance schedule requirements are being met along with improved quality control.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by department Director of Maintenance
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Specific Requirements

  • Licenses/Certificates: FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate required; valid driver’s license and Passport.
  • Attendance: Day shift/nights shift, weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary
  • Physical: Routinely lifts to 50 lbs. reads small print; hears sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies, repetitive motion, works with moving parts and vibration, tolerates products, materials, and fumes associate with component maintenance, tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet, tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and sitting for extended period

Education and Experience

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Five years related engine/airframe maintenance experience.
  • Continuous Education in aviation maintenance through accredited schools or manufacturer’s training programs required.
  • Corporate Aviation experience; specific to Falcons and Gulfstream
  • 5-10 years experience
