As the Technical Project Manager – Environmental Barrier Coatings (EBC) focused on technical project management, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of projects needed to verify and validate the CMC/EBC material system development and manufacturing capability, ensuring that all CMC projects are completed on-time and within budget. Working with a cross-functional team, the Materials Engineer will plan, manage and support development and maturation of Environmental Barrier Coatings (EBC) against all requirements including technical, cost and schedule. This role requires a high level of materials engineering rationale, skills, and process knowledge.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the local and global Chiefs of Technology in developing multi-year plans
  • Develop and submit yearly budget request submission (TST/MTP/ATS)
  • Create and manage schedule and budget, i.e. MCS packages
  • Act as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for various R&T projects
  • Maintain milestone compliance and metrics
  • Interface with suppliers and purchasing to ensure SOWs, RFQs, and POs are released in a timely manner and goods/services are delivered on time to meet schedule

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience in Engineering, OR
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, OR
  • PhD in Engineering
  • In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident

Preferred Requirements:

  • Gas turbine engine experience
  • Experience with EVM (Earned Value Management)
  • Management of projects for aerospace applications
  • Component/sub-system design, and/or manufacturing engineering
  • Training in project management, requirements management, and/or structured verification methods
